Questa composizione è stata commissionata dal compianto m° Massimo Nosetti, Organista della Cattedrale di Torino, il quale l’ha presentata in prima assoluta presso la Grace Cathedral di Topeka, Kansas (USA), 1 aprile 2011. È una sorta di “andante sinfonico” che per la sua forma ricalca a grandi linee alcuni modelli mozartiani. Tematicamente ha due riferimenti: uno testuale, il Salmo 22 (23) Il Signore è il mio pastore; ed un altro musicale Christi Resurgentis Matri suae Mariae, melodia gregoriana che viene cantata quotidianamente nelle liturgie pomeridiane al Santo Sepolcro
a Gerusalemme.

This composition has been commissioned by the late Massimo Nosetti, Organist of Turin’s Cathedral, who has also given the World Premiere of the piece at the Grace Cathedral of Topeka, KS (USA), on April 1st, 2011. It is an “andante sinfonico”in its structural form and reminds to some Mozart models. Thematically it refers to two different sources: a textual one, the Psalm 22 (23) The Lord is my Shepherd; and a musical one Christi Resurgentis Matri suae Mariae, a plain chant that is sung daily in the afternoon services at the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.
