Il brano, in tre movimenti (Spiritoso – Adagio ed amabile – Presto), è una delle composizioni per tastiera più estese del musicista milanese. Il suo stile puramente galante risente in particolar modo del gusto del teatro italiano. I temi, anche i più brillanti, mantengono sempre una certa cantabilità e freschezza inventiva dando adito all’interprete di mantenere sempre vivo il carattere di divertimento, talora frivolo e disimpegnato, tanto in voga in quest’epoca.

 

 The piece, in three movements (Spiritoso – Adagio ed amabile – Presto), is one of the Milanese composer’s longest works for keyboard. His style is pure gallantry and elegance, reflecting the tastes of Italian theatre of the day. The themes, even the most brillante, are still easily cantabile and have a certain inventive freshness, affording the artiste a chance to stress the entertaining, sometimes frivolous and carefree, character of the music so much in vogue at the time.
