Questa nuova composizione è stata commissionata da Stefan Madrzak, Organista e Kantor del Duomo di Soest, nell’ambito dei festeggiamenti per il giubileo dello strumento, IV/68 costruito da Anton Feith nel 1960 e restaurato nel 2005 da Siegfried Sauer, della Chiesa di San Patroclo. La fantasia Jauchzet, frohlocket, auf, preiset die Tage (Giubilate, esultate! Celebrate questi giorni) è costruita sul tema “Patroklus, unser Schutzpatron” (GL 951), che viene sfruttato per una serie di variazioni rapsodiche. “Preist Jesus Christus” (GL 871) appare, ornamentato, come tema secondario e viene utilizzato per la costruzione della coda. Qui entrambi i temi vengono infine sovrapposti.

This new piece was commissioned by Stefan Madrzak, Organist and Kantor in the Dome of Soest, within the celebration of the jubilee of the instrument, IV/68 built by Anton Feith in 1960 and refurbished in 2005 by Siegfried Sauer, in the Church of Sankt Patroklus. The fantasia Jauchzet, frohlocket, auf, preiset die Tage, Rejoice, exult! Up, glorify the days, is built on the theme “Patroklus, unser Schutzpatron” (GL 951), which is engaged in a series of rhapsodic variations.” Preist Jesus Christus” (GL 871) appears, trimmed, as a secondary theme and is used for the construction of the coda. Here both themes are finally combined.
