Victimae Paschali Laudes

Questo lavoro nasce quale commissione dell’Ufficio di Musica Sacra della Diocesi di Bergamo per il nuovo strumento della Cattedrale di Bergamo.
La Suite si compone di sette movimenti dalla breve durata e dal carattere fortemente contrastante. La struttura dei movimenti segue quella del testo della Sequenza, commentandolo e parafrasandolo partendo dalle singole linee melodiche di ciascun verso.

This work was born after a commission by the Sacred Music Officer in Bergamo’s diocese for the new instrument in Bergamo’s Cathedral.
The suite is composed of seven short and contrasting movements. The movements’ structure follows the text of the Holy Spirit’s Sequence, expounding and paraphrasing it through the single melodic lines of every versicle.
